Message from John Campbell
The reason public education exists is to prepare students to take their places in society, as competent, productive members. As trustees of that worthy goal, educators strive to produce excellence in every student's academic life. New emphasis from state and federal government has not changed that original goal. Instead, it has sharpened our focus on the need to make sure everything we teach, everything we spend, and everything we model, leads to improved student achievement....

Kings Canyon High School Named 2024 ‘California Model School’
Celebrations
Congratulations to Kings Canyon High School on being selected as a 2024 Model School by the California State Department of Education out of nearly 350 alternative education high schools in the state. The Model Schools designation is given to alternative high schools where relationships are developed with students to create a positive and personalized learning environment. This is done at KCHS on a daily basis with the goal of preparing students for the next chapter in their lives.
Here’s what the CA Department of Educations says about KCHS: “Kings Canyon High School in Reedley is a shining example of how amazing small schools can be. The campus is filled with staff who put the needs of the kids they serve first. Their genuine care and intentional relationship-building have created an authentic culture that is safe, inclusive and supportive. “
